ABOUT CLARENCE VALLEY COMMUNITY CHURCH (CVCC)

·       CVCC is an independent, evangelical church with two church locations, Maclean and South Grafton, NSW.

·       In 2022, we planted the South Grafton location of CVCC.

·      Our vision is to live to the glory of God and the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and through the grace that we have received from God, we demonstrate grace to the local community and abroad.

·     Our Mission is to be a biblically devoted Church, full of love; whose desire is to disciple, proclaim and plant. As a church, we look to live out the genuine love and holiness that God has called His children into. We endeavour to practically live this out by serving Christ and seeking genuine relationships amongst our own people.

·       We serve in the local community through a Community Kitchen, Op-Shop, Evangelism, public preaching events and gospel rich mercy ministries.

·      Internationally, we serve abroad in planting churches, training and equipping of preachers, teachers and evangelists, and oversee the operation and funding of schools and orphanages. 

·       We hold to Reformed Baptist principles.

·       We are a member of the FIEC (Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches).

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

• Load: Part Time (3 days / week)
• Work with the Elders to help lead the church.
• Help oversee the ministry areas of the church in collaboration with the ministry teams.
• Preach and lead a Bible Study group, prayer meeting. Load to be determined.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Meets the qualification of an overseer according to 1 Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1: 6-9 and demonstrates a maturity of faith and Christian character;
• Has a gift to help lead and teach the church;
• Holds the faith with a clear conscience and is theologically apt.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Living to the Glory of God and the Lordship of Christ Jesus:

•  Committed to living for the glory of Christ Jesus with a deep love for God, His people, and the lost;
• Be in good standing in their local church;
• Possess deep personal integrity;
• Be an example of what it is to follow Jesus in both public and private life, modelling habits of Gospel transformation including the regular reading of the Word, prayer, repentance and faith.

Biblically devoted and full of love:

• Be humble and teachable;
• Have a passion to see people follow Jesus whole-heartedly;
• Agrees with CVCC’s statement of beliefs
• Preaching and teaching the Bible (load to be determined);
• Participate in services;
• Be proficient in explaining and applying the Bible to people in their everyday lives;
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Discipleship, proclamation and planting:

• Able to call people to make sacrifices for the cause of Christ.
• Able to relate to people of all ages;
• Willing to work alongside others in a team and under the Lead Pastor
• Willing to commit to the vision and values of CVCC;
• Able to support the recruiting and training of ministry leaders;
• Able to manage their time and responsibilities well.
