Position: Female Young Adults / Youth Leader
Details: Paid Permanent Part-time
Hours: 15 hrs/wk (Additional hours may become available for the right candidate)
Description:
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth and young adults and contribute to the growth and vitality of the Authentic Church.
We are looking for a female young adult/youth leader to head up / develop our young adult ministry and assist with our youth ministry. We encourage you to apply if you are passionate about youth/young adult ministry and committed to seeing young people grow in their faith and leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct weekly outreach activities to local universities and TAFE institutions to connect with young adults and foster relationships.
- Coordinate and participate in Red Frog Crew events to provide support and assistance to young adults in various social settings.
- Assist with outreach activities in local high schools in conjunction with our Youth coordinator.
- Lead small discipleship groups for young adults aged 18-25, providing spiritual guidance and support in their journey of faith.
- Plan and facilitate regular social nights and mixers suitable for both church and unchurched young adults, creating opportunities for fellowship and community building.
- Assist the youth coordinator in organising and running Friday night youth nights, contributing to the spiritual growth and development of female teenagers within the church.
- Encourage and mentor young adults to become leaders within youth and church programs, empowering them to take on greater responsibilities and roles within the church community.
- Attend and actively participate in Sunday church services as a volunteer, setting an example of commitment and engagement for young adults.
- Pursue personal growth and development through ongoing participation in training, conferences, and bible school programs, with a minimum requirement of completion or enrolment in a Cert IV Ministry Leadership or similar qualification.
- Collaborate with other church staff and volunteers to support the overall mission and ministry of Authentic Church. Embrace a servant-leadership mentality, demonstrating a genuine passion for serving the community and advancing the kingdom of God through the local church.
Qualifications:
Gender: This role is for a Female leader
Age: 21 – 28 yo
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a vibrant personal faith.
- Passionate about serving the community and sharing the love of Jesus through ministry within the local church.
- Demonstrated experience in working with youth / young adults and a genuine understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Organisational and administrative abilities to effectively plan and coordinate events and programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, as well as independently, with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Completion or enrolment in a bible school program, with a minimum requirement of
- Cert IV or similar qualification.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
